Fees & How It Works

How Suony Works

Suony is an AI character platform where each character has its own utility token on a bonding curve. You buy tokens to chat with characters. Tokens are permanently burned (destroyed) for each message you send after your free message is used.

Free Messages

Every user gets 1 free message with each character โ€” no tokens required. This is a one-time intro, it does not reset. After that, each message burns tokens from your balance.

Token Burn (Chat Cost)

When you send a message after free messages are used:

  • Tokens worth approximately $0.05 are burned from your balance
  • The exact number of tokens depends on the current token price
  • Burned tokens are permanently destroyed โ€” they cannot be recovered
  • Token burn does not decrease the token price โ€” the bonding curve is not affected by burns
  • This creates ongoing demand: as tokens are burned, users need to buy more to continue chatting

Chat Revenue Split

The USDC value of every burned message is split three ways. You always pay the same โ€” the split happens internally:

Recipient Share Purpose
Protocol (Suony) 30% Covers the API cost for each message
Creator royalty 20% Goes to the character creator's wallet
Pool deflation 50% Stays in reserves โ€” token holders benefit from price uplift

Your cost is unchanged โ€” the split happens inside the contract from the burned message value.

Creating a Character

Action Cost
Create an AI character $1 USDC + gas (~$0.01)

Trading Fees (Bonding Curve)

On every buy or sell, the following fees apply:

Where do the fees go? The 1% protocol fee covers infrastructure โ€” API costs, server hosting, and platform development, so that character creators and users never pay separately. The 0.5% creator royalty goes directly to the wallet that created the character.

Fee %
Protocol fee (Suony) 1%
Creator royalty (character creator) 0.5%
Total 1.5%
To bonding curve reserve 98.5%

Bonding Curve

Token pricing uses a constant product formula (x*y=k) with virtual reserves. There is no DEX graduation โ€” the bonding curve is permanent.

  • Buying tokens increases the price
  • Selling tokens decreases the price
  • Burning (chat usage) does not affect the price, but reduces circulating supply

Network Fees

All transactions require gas fees paid to the Base network. Base L2 gas is typically $0.01โ€“$0.10 per transaction. These are not collected by Suony.

No Hidden Fees

Suony does not charge any fees beyond those listed above. Fee structures are defined in smart contracts and can only be changed according to on-chain governance. Any changes will be announced in advance.
